I applied for passport renewal in Hyderabad and i got an police enquiry from Nellore as i am resident of Sullurpet a town in Nellore Dist. I paid 1500INR to a police constable who came from Nellore. The police constable is supposed to find out my given address and verify me but you know he came to the local police station and tried to contact me through my Mobile No. I was not using the no which i gave in my application and i was waiting for the Enquiry but he never showed up. I directly went to the local PS and told my situation then they gave me contact no of that person. When i called him he started shouting at me and saying how can i find your address without your contact no. I said sir my address is clearly mentioned there and can't you find out and its your duty to do that. But he was saying i have hundreds of people to enquire so i cannot search for address. Anyhow he did the verification and asked for money. I was in a situation if i dont give him a money he can write what ever he wants to write in the report. So i was forced to give him bribe.
I am a flat owner in a multi storied residential building in the Vishnupuri , kanpur, ********** Pradesh.
Personally I feel , ********** Pradesh is the most corrupt and wrong place to be in, in India during the last decade or more.
I own a flat on the 1st floor of ********** VAtika, Vishnupuri> I bought this flat in 2004-5. Apparently Kesco, the Electricity supply company had a law that only one electric meter for every plot of land will be installed, even if the plot may be a housing Co-operative with many house owners.
A few years later the law changed back to individual flat owners should have their own meters.
Now, since 2007, we started this process to get individual metrs and we had to literally run 100 of times to the KESCO Offices to get this simple process done.
Over this period we paid Rs 80000 per flat to various people at different levels .
We are 5 flat owners who were victimised . The work was done finally , only last *******
Hello, Since I dont live in india, so Iam not sure about the names of persons or office address. All i know its in Bombay.
The thing is that during about 2008, I needed my indian birth certificate, and My father who is about 70 years old then not in great health was in india. And these people kept making him go from this office to that office, because my father refused to pay any bribes. However, finally we could not get the certificates, and I asked my cousin to help me, Which he paid about 5000 Rs to 10000 Rs and got it in about a weeks time, immediately and smoothly.
Very troubling situation this was. And definetely gave us a realistic impression that, If i want to ever invest in india or do some business there. Its not a game for people who are straightforward and legitimate.
For the first time in my life I had gone for a home loan in the year 2008 and the IT Returns that were filed in the year 2009-2010 had to pay out around 40k Rupees to me. This was the tax money that I had saved in the year 2009 due to the home loan. And it was in the month of February 2011 that I had got a call from the Income Tax office in Hyderabad to come and check my details to dispense the cheque. I went on the designated ********** and time and I was called in the room to check the details. The only paper that I had missed in my documents was Form-16 for the year 2009-2010. And I was desperate to get this over with as I had already planned to use this amount. The officer took me out of the room and he said and I quote "I called you and am speeding your process of IT Return, how much can you give" I was shocked. I asked home much I would give? He then said, 5% which was around 2000 rupees. I said, I didnt even get the cheque or the money and you want money already? He confirmed that the cheque will arrive in 2 weeks time and started negotiating on the amount. Finally I settled to give him 1500 rupees and I felt really bad. Don't the officials understand that this is hard earned money. The system everywhere has gone bad. There is no hope for people especially the government sector. We pay taxes and still we suffer. I felt bad but I was in dire need of the money too. I was scared how long he would halt the process if I had not paid him. Or if he would suspend my process altogether.
I have Innvoa which have MP registration, everytime on highway near kannad ghat (maharashtra) this traffic police stops my car just coz it has other state registration , check the papers find some technical fault, like u dunt have PUC, U have photocopy of Insurance, where is original like that and than ask for bribe.
Hi all,
I gave bribe for my driving license. With out bribe they wont issue license. They have deal with driving schools and getting bribe from them. Its seriously causing most of the poor people.
"Do not click photographs" We clicked.
"Do not go down" We went.
The main dam area is not accessible to general public. But we asked the lone gatekeeper to get us entry! He asked if we were from CBI,he knew the horrors of getting caught while taking bribe!
He laughed it off later!
We paid him Rs.30 and he allow 4 of us to enter to the core of the dam!
I wonder how easy it is for a **********-fed terrorist to sneak into the dam..plant plastic explosives..lob a few grenades may be..and hence blow the dam apart and hence submerge the entire state of Odisha into oblivion!
(One reason why being a poor state helps!Even terrorists select chic places!)
I was riding a bike from Devanahalli to Bengaluru. All thru the highway, there were huge signs stating speed limits of 80 kmph. I was probably going 75 kmph. I was shocked to be stopped. The traffic policeman showed me a sign board which was on the median (divider) stating that the two wheeler speed limit was only 60 kmph. This was never evident from any of the signs I had seen. I had to pay Rs 400 to get out of it, as they refused to accept my explanation. I was looking out for the same sign board for the rest of my journey. Couldn't find a single one? I even wonder if its a perfect plan? Whom should I raise this complaint to.
