Hi, I am against to pay bribe to government officials, I would like to be honest and if the police is asking bribe of some amount how should I go forward in this regard.? I mean if he is looking for bribe and demanding it strictly how should I need to proceed.
1. He would not give the proper response and move the file accordingly.
2. My passport will get delayed. (Is there any time period on which the police personnel should reply to the passport office) what will happen if it exceeds that time period.
I can fight against him and will do whatever possible thing not to pay any single penny as bribe.
I had been to the sub registrar office at Basavanagudi, NR colony to register and obtain my Marriage Certificate. The overall fees came up to Rs.130/- (which is the revenue for the Government). Over and above this, there was a lady (names can be provided) who did the process of verification and scanning of all the documents provided. She demanded Rs.500/-, while all the documents were in proper order. I did not even ask / request for a quick turn around to issue the certificate. I have, in a few days from now, to register a property, and incidentally at the same place. Wonder, how much I would demanded for this process. Can somebody indicate, if they registered a plot of land without bribe and if so what should I do? Any suggestions?
IN spite of repeated visits to BBMP office about 20 times over one year period, Khata was not transferred from my Father's name to my name. After paying Rs. 17,000/- the Khata was transferred within 2 days. I have spent so much of time and fuel visiting these BBMP officials who have a list of requirements which are not documented on their website. It is very bad that the pribe amount is openly told in front of all the BBMP officials and accepted in front of all of them. saying that this amount goes to everyone here.
I stay in Bangalore (originally from Jharkhand, but staying in Bangalore since 6 years) but as my wife's native is Mandya, the marriage was arranged in Mandya, Karnataka. We went to get the Marriage Certificate from Sub-Registrar office, Mandya after one year or our marriage. We carried all the documents required for getting the Marriage Certificate. However, when we met the "Registrar of Marriage" officer (Mr M. Basavanna), he started making illogical arguments like how can a Jharkhand boy marry Mandya girl and get certificate from Mandya. I was wondering how can a Marriage registrar give such an illogical arguments. In answer when I gave logical arguments to him, he deviated the topic and started some arguments on Address proof. One of the office boys (agent) told me that he would talk to the Registrar. Later the office boy came and told me that I would need to pay Rs 2500, if I want to do the registration on that day. I was not ready to pay the money to the officer, however, my parent in laws suggested to give the money, otherwise, I would be made to come to Registrar office multiple times and those people would unnecessary create trouble and delay the process. I stayed in Bangalore and was in urgent need to process my marriage certificate as I needed that document to process my Visa. So, lastly I agreed to pay the bribe amount of Rs 2500.
Please take action against the corrupt people like "Mr M. Basavanna", as these kind of people are spoiling our nation. We people pay tax and still not get basic services from the government. Corrupt people like these who take away the basic rights of the common people and spoil the nation should be put inside bar.

On this 05 of may an incident took place in a adventure camp near Rishikesh there was an report in the papers the headline was Delhi ke dabangon ka nadi kinera tandav. The news papers always ask the police and the police lies under pressure of politicians the innocent always suffer. The news papers didnt not report about the shots fired . Camp staff almost stabbed to death. And the police not accepting a complaint from the accused local of rishikesh. It presents a very bad example against the police for locals. the police are supposed to listen to both sides and investigate and take action, but the defendent who was the root of trouble was instantly given police escort and sent home.
The road on the back side of Trident hotel in gurgaon is a one way during peak hours (8 AM to 10 AM and 4PM to 6PM). We reached to the end of the road and there were 4 traffic policemen who were busy stopping people on road and one was sitting in a room, there he told that for wrong side driving it'll be a 1100/- INR challan. Simply said 2 words "Sirji dekhlo" then he started with 500 then came down to 200.
