The road on the back side of Trident hotel in gurgaon is a one way during peak hours (8 AM to 10 AM and 4PM to 6PM). We reached to the end of the road and there were 4 traffic policemen who were busy stopping people on road and one was sitting in a room, there he told that for wrong side driving it'll be a 1100/- INR challan. Simply said 2 words "Sirji dekhlo" then he started with 500 then came down to 200.

All of a sudden a traffic police came and took my bike keys. He stated that i was talking while i was riding. Even after explain ing that i stopped at road side and finished the call, he was forcing me to pay fine 500/- or take bike to station. With no reason to get rid of this situation...i paid 50 bucks

We have not paid bribe to RCS, BSES, Public grievance cell, Delhi electricity regulatory commission, electricity ombudsman since 2002 therefore till date not received direct electricity connection in our name in shivlok society flat sector 6 plot 6 dwarka new Delhi, if we were living in JJ shelter / colony we got electricity connection in our name in 7 days.

our electricity file become fat and we become thin after 11 year and we are paying through our nose to single point electricity distributors i.e. Secretary The Shivlok CGHS Ltd, Sector 6 Plot 6 Dwarka New Delhi and now to The Shivlok CGHS Ltd A/c maintenance @ Rs.6.92 per unit for residential Flat

no law and order in New Delhi where President, Prime minister, chief minister ........... stay ??

you can yourself see how all government department works in New Delhi, India. so never purchase society flat in New Delhi where water and electricity supply / sold by Society and no maintenance is done by society but amount is collected on monthly basis even if left is not working for over nine months.

I am not an isolated person whom the officials of the great Indian Police Service has harassed for the soul purpose of extracting money. I am a college student in Bangalore living on charity of my father. We have two police station in our area namely Yeswantpur and Sanjay Nagar police station near our college. Both good for nothing rotten meats provide no security to this area but make money from students just because we are too easy. Girls are kidnapped from their hostels, reports of theft are just to decorate their books, boys are beaten up by the local goons who take support of police, and the list can go on. They gang up on us sometimes, force us to withdraw money from ATM. They put us in their SUV, scare us in the police station unless they are satisfied with the money. Prior to this I had to pay a bribe of 500 RS just because I was sitting with a girl who is my class mate, in a public area. I mean how seriously are they screwed in their head. Have they been sent here to provide a service of security or to establish a pathetic local dictatorship? We cannot go out of our places because we are scared of police rather than criminals.
The institution of Indian Police is one of the most sacred of our country. But it remains only in our books. The police on the streets are by far the most dirtiest scar on the face of the country. I wish to see a day when I can talk to a police like a fellow human and not to look down upon an entity that physically and psychologically repulses me.
I should feel embarrassed about doing something wrong as pay bribe. But when money is extorted like this...we make jokes about it. And so has become the Great Indian Police.

It was almost 12 at night, I was going home late on rented cab and found two bikers almost unconscious and badely injured on road side.. Decided to help them and took them to nearest hospital and from here my nightmare started... It was was a government hospital where I took them and doctors there were not at all interested in admitting. They made me fill several forms and asked me to wait until police come. Thankfully police came within half an hour. Now victims were not my responsibility anymore but my problems has just started. I have to fill further forms for the police, then they took me to the accidental location for drawing some maps. Then we came back to hospital where we waited for 3 hours for taking statement of victims. Unfortunately, they were still not in position to give any statement. Now to my horror police refused to let me go and asked me come with them to police station and that time I informed my family. We all went to police station still police was not interested in releasing me as if I was responsible for the accident. I stayed at police station all night and in morning when the two boys gave their statement and thanked me for helping them. Both were saved with little injuries. They admitted that it was not case of accident but they just slipped on road. Now police was ready to leave me still they said that as the case was registered in files, I may be called to police station for further enquiry. At this time one cop came and asked for 5000 and lated agreed to take 2000 to keep me and my family away from this mess or as he called 'lafda'.. My day was ruined, an important office work was delayed for which I got to face music from my boss, money spend, bribe paid and most importantly I felt humiliated.... Thanks to Jaipur police....
I am sorry to say but I never helped anyone after that in road accidents and I have no plan to do so until I have trust on police, which seems impossible as of now...

Police officer called me to police station for passport verification, and took one more copy of all address/age proof/marriage certificate/declaration that I do not have criminal case(which was shared earlier with Passport app and was scanned in the system). Then, he came over to my house , took my signature , and asked for "Fees". After I refused, he went away. Still waiting to see what will happen to my application!!!

Suggestion : (a) Remove unnecessary processes - verified copies are in the system. There is no value add done by police collecting another set.

(b) Cops should be made to respond withing xx working days, otherwise, it needs to be reported, All applications overdue by yy working days need to get auto-appproved or auto assigned to a senior officer. (basic principle - put in a disincentive for a cop to sit on the individual file)

c) Criminal case verification can be done offline by the police (and probably centrally). A declaration from candidate is not needed (as they have already done in passport application)

d) Only public contact need to be for address checking. If, there is an adverse report, cops should submit evidence like statements of neighbor/house owner/photograph of locked door etc. Further, If a report is made adverse without any evidence attached, it needs to be rechecked by another person.

e) Applicants should not be expected to go to police station for followup on verification process. Applicants should be given a call center number (run by a reputed professional firm ). The call center person should be tracking verification and doing internal escalations , if needed.
