Thank you for an astounding response and the large number of entries. The most voted entries were analysed by a jury comprising of Dr Govind Rao, Member, Economic Advisory council of the Prime Minister, Mr Pradeep Singh Kharola, IAS, commissioner of Commercial Tax and Mr TR Raghunandan, Programme Co-ordinator Ipaidabribe.com and the winner chosen.

We will take the winning idea and work with the department to implement it.

The Idea: Publiclymonitored website for reporting corruption

About the initiative

Setup a centrally coordinated government run web site to monitor corruption complaints. This should be accessible to media, NGO and government watchdog organizations Make a SMS based app for people who don't have a computer to report complaints to this website. Use data analytics to find out the most corrupt departments based on the complaints so that social activists can use this data to force the government to lok into this.

How will it reduce corruption?

The common man can use this website to report harassment and bring corruption in the limelight. This will change the balance of power from corrupt officials to the common man by introducing a threat of corruption reporting. Since it is open to media fhe TRP sensitive media will no doubt run new realityshows that air blatant violations. That will in turn expose these to the heat of the current common man sentiment against corruption.
