Section 9 (8) (b) of Motor Vehicles Act specifies that the applicant who is desirous of obtaining driving license has to produce a medical certificate in the form and in the manner referred to in Sub - Section (3) of Section 8. It, therefore, follows that even if a person is one-eyed, he can be issued with a driving license if he is medically certified that the disability that he is suffering from will not be a source of danger to the public.
