I paid a bribe for police verification

This happened at the Attibele police station in Bangalore.
The officer who took the bribe sits in the Writing Officer's room. He is the one who takes a printout and gets it signed by us(and 2 witnesses).
This isn't the first time that he has done this. I have gone there as witness myself for neighbors in need of police verification. He had asked them for bribe as well.
There is an easy way to catch him. Go with a kannada-speaking guy(as witness) for passport verification and you will see him ask the other guy for bribe.
