In an attempt to remove fraudulent/ bogus voter ID card (EPIC) holders, the Indian Government has recently launched a new campaign to link Aadhar card to the Voter ID has been. It is also known as EPIC-Aadhar Seeding. The electors can link their Aadhaar number with the electoral rolls by following any of the methods listed below:
Online Linking (through official web site).
Online portals have been set up by State Governments so that the elector can visit the website and get the process done him/herself.
Before continuing with the process make sure you have following ready :
-Your EPIC number on the Voter ID
-UID number
-You need to provide a mobile number to receive OTP(One Time Password)
Process
- Go To Official Website of the Chief Electoral Officer :
- Fill in details such as the following: Name, Father/Husband Name, Date of Birth, State and District
- In the next tab, enter your EPIC ID (voter id card number)
- In the next tab, enter your UID (Aadhar Card number 16 digits)
- Enter your mobile Number for receiving OTP (one time password) and also your email ID
- Submit the form.
- Compare your UID & EPIC Card Information and click on the “Seed” Button Shown below images.
- Your voter ID card will be linked with your Aadhar Card.
Once all the details will be entered correctly, you will see a notification “Your request for Aadhaar Number with Electoral Database has been successfully registered

Link by sending an SMS :
Send an SMS to this number- 08790499899 and provide your Aadhaar number and Voter Card number in the following format.
SEEDEPIC [space] [EPIC No] [space] [Aadhaar No]
Example SEEDEPIC BYX1234557 1234 5678 9101
Link through call center :
Contact the call centre on this number 1950 between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Provide the EPIC number and aadhaar number to the call centre operator.
