Immigration Officer asked bribe for not having signature on passport

Was travelling to London via Mumbai from blr, the old lean immigration officer in Mumbai airport terminal 2/3 saw that there was no passport officer signature in my passport. he told me that I cant travel since there is no signature. I didnt wanted to travel and office ppl had sent me forcefully, so I thought let me use this oppurinity and come back to blr.

Hence I told him that this was issued by your own officer pls check with him in london since the passport was issued from there. He went and checked with his senior and came telling that I cant really travel. I told fine then get me this in a writing so that I can show this to my company.

He started sweating since this was his own officers mistake. He asked me to get this corrected the moment I reach London and let me travel.

The moral of the story I felt was if we try pushing the officers in a writing then sometime it works in our favour.
