Respected Sir, I am Jasraj Sangani a resident of Nalasopara - a suburb of Thane district in Maharashtra. It is regarding Passport verification. I have submitted my passport form in Thane Passport office on 18th March 2010, the office on spot told me that I will receive my passport within 45 working days, nothing such happened, I went to the Nalasopara Police Station in June, (as I was not well for a month) where the passport officer's office is situated. I asked them politely about my verification, they said there is no such rule that the police is supposed to come to the citizen's residence nor are they supposed to send any notification for receiving a citizen's file to the police station. They asked me to bring the witness with me, receipt received from the passport office to the local passport officer's office. They asked me to take 40 xerox copies of empty PP form, when i asked, they replied its a rule. I submitted all the documents that I had supplied to Passport office in Thane i
