Respected Sir,
I had purchased a land in PUTTUR (Karnataka) 4 years back. This land (64 cents) belonged to a Old lady who got it converted from Agricultural to Residential. It was then split into 3 portions.
I purchased (19 cents) from her son 4 years back. I have the paper of conversion from agricultural to residential.
The new PUDA (Puttur Urban Developmental Authority) has asked us to pay a single layout fee of 15% of the land value. This law came into force 2 years back or so.
More over the main head of this PUDA told me that they have stopped issuing licence for Single layout. In turn he asked me to go meet another broker and said my work would be done.
I met this broker, who demands 1 lakh from me to get the work done.
I consulted my lawyer and he said it the act came into force after we bought the plot. Hence we wont be Eligible to pay for it. But I can not build my house unless these people release my case.
Please guide me as to how can I get this solved.
