Bribe in the disguise of customs duty
I was carrying a brand new digital camera and was not aware that digital camera was duty free. The thin, shrewd looking officer on duty marked me as an inexperienced type and asked me "Duty bharne ka kuchh paisa hai?" I had only a 5 Euro note in my money bag and told him so. He pointed to a police constable standing nearby who took the bribe. I know I was stupid and should have asked for a receipt.
