I'm planning to purchase a property in Bangalore. Currently I've been talking to the promoters/agents, and the specify in a very straight-forward manner that, for registration of property approx. 10,000 will be needed as bribe to get the registration done.

I'm not sure what should I do; not pay the bribe and keep on waiting for some indefinite time OR should I consider this as a charge for getting thing done in priority and pay the bribe, even though I don't wish to.

Though, I've not yet paid the bribe yet but since, it seems like a default charge, I may have to go ahead paying the bribe.

What is your reaction after reading this report?
