Complaint in respect of Mr. Amit Kumar Singh, Headmaster and Mr. Suresh Kumar, Clerk

Reported on September 6, 2015 from Purulia , West Bengal  ι Report #65111

Respected Sir,

With due respect and utmost faith in you and your principles, I would like to request you to kindly go through the following facts:-

1. My sister, Lovely Kumari Pandey, was admitted to Class XI in Parbelia Colliery Hindi High School, Neturia, Purulia (WB) in June 2015.

2. At the time of admission she was asked for Rs 600 which she paid. On asking for payment receipt, the Head master Amit Kumar Singh and Clerk Suresh Kumar denied to provide payment receipt and told that the same will be provided later. Thereafter she had been going to the school for attending the classes regularly.

3. After about one and a half month all students were called for Registration on 21 August 2015. She also went to the school but the Head master humiliated her and sent her out of the school for the reason that she had her hairs open. She requested that she will tie her hair but still the Head master sent her out of the school. When she said that today she has been called for Registration, he said that her Registration is not possible without his will. So she came back home.

4. On 24 August 2015, she again went to school but they said that Registration is over and now her uncle who asked for the payment receipt has to go to Midnapore and bring registration form and complete the registration by himself or she will have to pay Rs.500 for registration.

5. She came back and told me the whole story. When I went to meet the Head master, he said that it is not his responsibility to complete the student’s Registration. He also said that the last date is over and for next step meet the clerk. It is worth mentioning that the last date was still not over as per my knowledge.

6. When I went to the clerk, he said that the date is over and now for her Registration he will have to do everything afresh and so he needs to and fro fare for the same along with late fine fee of Rs.40/-. In total, the clerk asked for Rs 400/- and called me the next morning.

7. Next day on 25/08/2015, i went to the school and told the clerk that the I came to know that the last date is still not over but he said that the Board’s last date is not over but the School’s last date is over. However, he took Rs.400/- and filled the form taking my sister’s signature.

I wish to inform you that this whole episode was only due to the reason that she asked for the payment receipt at time of admission which they have not given till this date. I also wish to inform you that going to school with hair open is not such a fault that a Head master shall humiliate a girl and also try to hamper her Registration. This is nothing but dictatorship at his end. I wish to inform you that all the conversations of the Head master as well as the clerk have been recorded by me in my mobile which clearly depicts the Head master dictatorship policy and the clerk charging extra money from me. If required for further enquiry, I shall provide a copy of the same.

In the light of above facts, I request you to kindly take proper action in this respect because charging extra money for admission and registration, humiliating a girl student and also playing with the career of a student is not a bonafide act for a Head master.

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully,
D K Pandey
