I am from the UK, I got married then went to register my wedding with my wife and parents and Lumberhar. The person said if we wanted to register the wedding (although) we had all the paperwork we would have to live together for six months in India - only then could the wedding be registered. Initially he wanted 50000 then said he would sort it out for 30000. When we requested a receipt he said come back in six months. He knew we needed the papers to register at the British Embassy so we ended up paying him the money.
