Demanded 300 from my friend for FIR for loss of mobile phone

I admit this is an old report but would like to share for the benefit of everyone.

My friend lost his mobile phone a few days before the wedding.. To get the same number he needed a FIR copy. For which he and me went to Egmore Police Station in the morning. Writer was not there. Then after some time writer was sleeping in the afternoon.

Evening there was a heavy crowd to meet him and when we tried to meet him was demanded 300 for FIR copy.
