I had applied for passport on 22nd August 2016.
I had resided on two different address from past 1 year so had two different police verification for current address (HSR Layout) and previous address (chennammanakere achukattu - banashankari ).
Through online portal and from friends I heard a lot about paying bribe to police to get your work done and as I wanted the passport asap I decided to go for it.
It was already 2 days, I didnt get any call for verification so I visited the HSR police station (on 24th August 2016), they asked for required documents and took a snap from tab and they didnt ask for any bribe.
Same day I got a call from previous address verification and asked me to come at any time next day (25th August 2016).
I reached at 12pm and the person taking care for passport verification person was not available. One more police person informed to come back at 5pm.
I came back at 5pm and made the verification done. Had to pay bribe to two different people each 500rs.
On 26th August 2016 I received a message that previous address verification is done and have submitted clear report.
Its been 7 days now and still no response from HSR police station..
I have never deal with legal and gov system in India but in past 10 days experience I would say
Money speaks in India. If you give money all your work is done .
Its a big disappointment
