My husband and I needed our learner's driving licence. In Gurgaon RTO we first needed a medical certificate before any other paper work could be done.Medical Officer appointed to sign on medical certificate sits inside an office full of files we went in there after all payments were made outside and stamps are put on the form for the certificate.
On the table the medical officer had a few cards, he asked my husband to read the numbers written on them. On one card there is no number but just crosses and then he said you have failed the test I will not sign your form you go out.
The moment we stepped out of his office, one office boy came and said you pay 700/- I will go and get the signature. My husband paid and within 5 minutes the office boy came back with the signatures. Infact he went on to give us a number to say if anyone questions you about this call on the number and there will be some one to speak for you.
