Hello my name is rajesh am from kerala and an NRI.My marriage was on 27/08/14. And on 2nd of sept I applied for my marriage certificate from cheppad gramapanchayat in alleppey dist kerala.On 11 of sept I got it online. Then after lot of hassles i got the certificate by hand on 22 of sept.I needed the certificate urgently because in order to take my wife with me I had to get the passport of both of us reissued adding the names and need to attest the marriage certificate which would take min.20 day.Each day we use to call the guy over there to know the status of the certificate, and each time he(Biju) use to give excuses like no current, registrar not available, i am on leave,other than me no one can do, printer not working,etc.To get it faster we had to bribe him also,but because the amount was less from what he expected he delayed it purposefully.For a certificate which can get only by 1 day it took 21 days of my leave to get. Now am going back for my job on 26 of sept,and all plans are trashed.But I want such things to be rectified. For such a simple certificate if it's taking such time ,then what about the time consuming things which will affect simple ordinary peoples who cannot even respond.
