I and my friends stay in pune.On 20 oct 2014 we were travelling to mumbai (marine drive)over the night as it was my friends birthday and we wanted to celebrat it at marine drive,we were travelling in a brand new i20 kms running was 8925. There were 3 cops standing near tata colony's signal so we stopped by to ask them for a help to navigate us but inspite of helping they started asking for documo of the car and we were carrying a valid driving license and RC book of the vehicle but they were not satisfied of it,they asked for PUC and insurance papers.According to our knowledge the vehicle who is not old than 6 months n have not done 10000 kms don't need a PUC but they wanted to have some bribe from us as the vehicle was also a "mh14" one.They took us to azad nagar police station and made us wait there for 2 long hours even after being ready to pay the legal fine but they were saying that their so called "saab" will come and see the issue.After some time he made a receipt of 100 rs and asked us to pay 1000 rs.We requested them very much and then they got settled down to 700 rs.We did not want to pay the bribe but it were the wee hours and we were helpless.I'am really unhappy with this kind of police administration and want to take the issue to higher authorities
