Paid bribe to Traffic police though I wore Helmet, Had Lisence, Had vehicle papers

Date: 11-July-2015
Time: 11AM
Location: Traffic Police , opposite to Aavin Milk Company, OMR Road, Chennai.
Name of the officer: He shouted at me for asking his name. But I can identify him for sure. He was fully bald at the time of incident.
Incident took place just inside the small police station opposite to Aavin Milk company in OMR, Near Aavin signal.
Details: I had worn helmet, had lisence and necessary papers. For no reason the police man stopped my vehicle in the signal. Said I was violating traffic rules . He took my Bike key. Said he will lodge complaint and I had to pay 1100+550 Rs for violating rules. He never said what rules I violated. He told his target is 20 people per month. So he needs more cases and you are one among them to me. Then he said, if he lodges complaint , it will take months to get back the bike. So asked me to give money whatever I had in purse. I had 390Rs, Of which he forced to give me 350Rs.
Also, he was taking bribe from many people.
I am a BE graduate, working in a professional company. I really feel irritated at myself. I am risking to pay fine or any legal action that could be imposed on me. But without doing any mistakes, the police got the bribe. He should be punished in the first place. I can identify his face at any time. I am really not sure, who will be reading this or taking any actions.
