Peon to Registrar bribe

To get extra copies of Marriage certificate after paying the required govt fees of Rs.65, i had to pay Rs. 1000 to the registrar for her to sign and Rs. 30 to the peon so that he sticks the govt hologram sticker. Peon opens his desk draw and winks his eye to show the desk draw where there is some money. When i went near him, he asks me to put something in it. When i give him Rs. 30 (that was the only amt i had when i went there for 3rd time in the day after the initial bribe of Rs. 1000 paid to the registrar) he tells me that he wont even get to drink tea with it, i was surprised as it was my auto money to head back home. After paying him Rs. 30, i had to walk back home. I was made to come 3 times after paying Rs. 1000 bribe to registrar just because i did not pay bribe to assistant of registrar. All this happened at Royapettah Registrar office. Registrar sends one person outside the office to collect the bribe as she cannot take it directly because of the camera kept above her. When this person re-enters the office, he smiles and that means he has received the bribe and she can go ahead to sign my marriage certificate. God save India.
