I was on a tour with family. When we crossed bandipur (national park) forest and was headed to Ooty, Driver asked me to give him 600 rs, since there was a RTO check post. I told driver, i will come with you and will pay the money. I went with him to window counter and checked with the RTO officer. First he was talking in ENGLISH and told me to go back in the vehicle and driver will pay the money. I asked the officer, You give me the receipt and i will pay the same amount. Suddenly he started shouting at me. I was shocked why is he shouting? Then he told me some words in HINDI since i was using HINDI also. Suddenly he started talking in TAMIL and didn't use HINDI or ENGLISH after he came to know that i don't understand TAMIL. He was shouting at me and was saying "ONLY TAMIL....ONLY TAMIL". I requested him many time "Sir please use English or Hindi", but he was keep talking in TAMIL.
He asked 600 rs while the tax was only 330 rs.
My question is to Government officials:
1. If it is a government tourism project, How come driver and a RTO officer were asking more money to everyone? It has became a process on that "check post". I have seen all the driver was coming with 1000 rs NOTE, paying 600 to officer and keeping rest of the amount in his pocket.
2. RTO officer was keep saying to me.." Use Only TAMIL".
If you guys have this much problem to North Indians then why does government not bans North indians in South india.
After this incident I have decided i will never come back to South india.
