The incident took place on 23rd Nov 2014 around 4-430 pm in Mumbai Nr the Haji Ali main crossing. I accept the fact that i jumped the signal but then rather than accelearating , i pulled over , reversed my car and waited for the signal to go green again .Now this traffic cop called "Kamodkar"( if i am not wrong with the spelling) saw this , impounded my licence and asked me to park my car at a side. Then the harrasment starts .. he makes some scribbling on a challan , blabbers some radom act of the indian penal code ( act 164 section blah blah ) for driving recklessly and asks me to collect my licence from the "court " by paying a fine of rs 600 /-. Guys let me just remind you that i have just jumped .. or should i say "semi jumped " a signal for which i am apparently asked to appear in court.Anyways, i tried to explain my situation but this man was just reluctant to hear . Finally i got the signal and asked what's the other alternative . To which he had the odasity to say " aapko maalum hai sir ,india mein naye ho kya ". Then without making an eye contact he hastily asked me for rs 200/-. i had to adhere to what he said and gave the amount and got my licence back . But somwhere down the heart this incident was knawing me and i needed some platform to vent out my guilt .Thank you ipadabribe.com :)
