Wrong accusation of No-Parking outside a park in Nungambakkam

I had parked my vehicle outside a park in Haddows Road, Nungambakkam clearly just inside the yellow line allotted for parking. So i take a stroll inside and come back out to find my vehicle missing. So I inquire about it to the surrounding locals and I got to know it had been towed away. So i go meet this police personnel who towed it away and had it with him two streets away. I started raising the fact that it was just parked inside the yellow line allotted. He started getting grumpier by the moment and starts to list the charges he could place against me. I was pretty much frustrated as i was bound not to raise an issue because my father would come to know and the fact that i would have to find another means of transport home. I just feel that I am powerless in front of all these such personnel as to what will happen if this issue was raised? Nothing, because what could I do other than report to his higher official who would be nobody else than this person's boss!
