Lokpal Bill: Many proposals made by Hazare team missing from government draft

The government draft of the Lokpal Bill has excluded several proposals made by team Hazare to reduce the scope of corruption. A couple of them are powers to tap phones, letters rogatory, and recommendations for changes in work practices.

Thirty out 40 issues have been agreed upon, said Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily.

Voices have been raised within the government objecting to the formation of a parallel government (the Lokpal model).
