The top five most corrupt cities in India have been tracked by IPAB based on Bribe Reports received on the site. Interestingly, Bangalore city tops the list with 2413 reports. Next in line is Hyderabad with 1173 cases! Chennai, Mumbai and Pune follow with 915, 667 and 533 reports respectively. Imagine the degree of corruption in our lives if 7497 bribes have been reported on IPAB to date, while a whole number still remains unreported. The importance of registering a bribe is in that data can be recorded, compiled and analysed, thus creating a concrete case when IPAB approaches the government for process reforms.
