New Delhi and New York now symbolise the fight lead by citizens against weak and corrupt governments. Public outcry and popular aspirations in the recent times have been successful in mobilising citizens onto the streets. Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption campaign and the Occupy Wall Street movement are proof of that. Will this new revolution usher in accountability and transparency?
