Denied paying a bribe but now somewhat regreat
I was demanded to pay a bribe of rs 5000 for getting my mothers passport application verified by the verification officer to which i refused. But now he has kept the application on hold and is stating the voter id card, aadhar card, driving licence, pan card and bank passbook are all not authentic documents and can be forged. He is demanding for the land deed and some other documents that i dont want to disclose. He threatens to take 6 to 8 months for the verification of address. Im writing this from kolkata, saltlake area. The officer sits in purta bhawan room no. 320, at the second table from the left.
What should i do?
