I was asked or bribe , but u i didnt pay bribe rather i paid fine
I was asked to pay bribe, i was constructing my first floor, i had idea that i had to take temp connection, but since i gave on contract i consulted my contractor he said sice we done have any floor cutting work we dont need temporary connection. as i was busy with my office schedule and contractor was managing i didnt collect more information on the same. one saturday the BESCOM engineer visited and i was at home he said am not supposed to use the electricity connection of ground floor for 1st floor construction, i told him the same what my contractor has told. he told me that its a worng information what i have.
ok i agree for i have wrong information, for this since the BESCOM observed am using was there any way of warning me for the same, if not it should be they should have warned me and if still am using then charge me.But instead he asked me to pay Rs.5000, when i refused he said that i have to end up paying Rs12,000 as a fine. and he did same when i got my electricity bill i was charged Rs.12,000 as fine.
But am proud that i didnt bribe them.
