Corruption in transport department
It was the month of june when i went to transport department for the issue of my driving liscence. I was asked to give a driving test.I waited for my turn. There were two police constables standing with authorised person to test our driving skills.. I saw some people coming wid thugs for driving test. It was so shocked to see that the thug first gave bribe to constable nd den to the person testing us in person and he(thug) himself gave d driving test for the one who cme there for the issue of her liscence...
When my turn came i was pretty much sure dat i would b rejected cos before me a person gave a driving test(motorcycle) widout paying bribe and he was rejected saying dat he did not follow sme rules....
On my turn i gave indicator to d left 100m before nly bt den also wen i completed d test the inspector said dat i didn't gave the indicator at all!!!! I was so shocked i argued wid him , he told me dat if argue more he would cancel my papers nd i wud again have to wait for 3 months to wait for liscence. His intention was very clear for bribe. I asked what he wanted so his face showed a grim smile den he asked for 500Rs. I straight forward asked him what is d procedure for next test means wat more formality i hve to do, his smile disappeared nd den he told me to repeat d procedure by paying Rs300 to the office nd tke a reciept nd den cme for a test....
I was pretty much sure dat next tym he wud definatly pass me cos if he didn't i wud hve created mess there wid him whether i wud hve to wait for next 5 yrs also bcs these govt officials aim to exploit people like us financially.. M proud dat i did not paid bribe to d person nd hve followed whole procedure nd finally i got my liscense!!!!!!!!!!!!!
