Vellore District in Tamil nadu, more specifically YELAGIRI HILLS a predominantly tribal area. "patta" titles to property are hard to come by. Inordinate delay in issuing and the local population frustrated beyond measure. The earlier "Surveyor" trapped while accepting a bribe and suspended. The new surveyor seemingly does not take up any work. No official demands for bribes but stories abound.
MY APPLICATION FOR PATTA PENDING SINCE MAR, 2010. Have tried to get information thro R.T. I but with no success. Official communication from the State Information Commission just ignored by the local administration.SURPRISINGLY NO APPEAL MECHANISM/BODY FROM THE State Information Commission's order!
It is a dead-end in the "Land of No Hope" (Cape of Good Hope's sister!)
