I would suggest that you complain about this to senior officers of the BBMP. This is totally unacceptable on their part and such blatant corruption in spite of property tax reforms should not be tolerated. BBMP now also accepts online payment of taxes through Bangalore one and you should make payments that way. Please contact the PRO of the BBMP and complain. Also send a written complaint to the Commissioner and to the Lokayukta about such staff members, if possible, find out the staff member's name also.

In BBMP (Basavanagudi), they are not giving property tax receipts immediately. Even after giving fully filled forms with PID number, I have visited 7 times over the last 1 month but they are not giving the receipts citing false reasons (person who distributes receipts is not there, system issue, etc). Somebody advised I pay Rs 50 or 100 bribe and they will give it immediately. I don't wish to pay this. Is it possible to bring this issue to any concerned official who is upright or any helpline number from BBMP?
