Recently the Govt. of India has fixed a nupper limit of income for defining the Economically Weaker Sections of society. I have heard that this limit is Rs. 8 lakhs. It is absurd that in India people with an income as high as 8 lakhs are defined as economically weak. This act will dilute the Govt's efforts in helpibg people who are really poor and it is unjustified socially.
