I lost my phone of worth Rs.9000, so i went to the head police station for filing FIR.At first they said they don't take FIR for something as minor as stolen mobile phones.After sometime another officer told me that they would take Rs.5000 to track down my phone through IMEI no.and would find my phone in couple of days.Apparently they have a rule of taking a bribe of more then 50% of the mobile phone.
