One fine day, during this erratic power supply, the meter reading person of the local EB visited my shop in malleshwaram and simply pulled out the main fuse carrier- reason cited was that the bill was not paid. we duly showed him the paid receipt -he says he can do nothing about this as he has a list of defaulters and our meter number is also mentioned in that and he has to follow orders. while he agreed that the bill was paid, he asked us to go to the bescom office and lodge a complaint, get things clarified and then power would be restored. having cornered on a saturday afternoon, i had no option but to cajole and convince him to fix back the fuse carrier - else i would lose business on saturday evening and sunday as well. god save this country - small traders like us are harassed by many many government and others as well.... just forced to take things in stride and struggle with our own business along with these blood suckers........
