I am Madhu age 42, I and my colleague booked a ticket on 26-02-2015 by a travel agent at Gwalior, he wrongly my gender as Female instead male. This I didn’t notice until train ticket conductor (TC) informed me, by that time I boarded the train. TC asked me to by a new ticket with the Rs1615/- (Which includes new ticket price along with Penalty and reservation charges) from Gwalior to Bhopal – Second AC Ticket.
I agreed the mistake and I was ready to by a new ticket and paid the money of Rs1615/- but he took the money and went away from that place and asked me to wait until he gets back. I was waiting for half an hour (It was midnight and time was 1:30pm) but he didn’t turned up. When I searched for him he was in another compartment. I had requested the receipt, but he is denied to give the receipt and asked me to wait for some more time. After 30 minutes again I had asked the receipt he reluctant to give the receipt and started shouted on me and telling that, If I don’t wait, he will hand over me to the RPF police station at Jhansi, I told him to handover me but he didn’t do that, by that time co-passengers observed and came to us and enquired about the issue and they understood the situation, by that time TC came back to me and said that, why should you waste the money to buy a new ticket, he asked me to give Rs500 for bribe, so I can travel without any issues. As I don’t have the option I had agreed for that, so he took Rs500/- and returned Rs1100 /- to me.
