He asked for chai-pani, I refused.
Once I went for the neighbourhood police station, he had to travel to the bigger branch a few KMs away to get it stamped! (that's what he told me) so I had to collect it next day. He asked for chai-pani, I refused. He obviously was irritated (kaam to kar diya tha), but this is what he said - I have to incur personal cost in travelling and getting your document photo-zopied, stamped (petrol), and all the hard work.
Somehow I felt it could be true. And so seems to be the case above too? There's no system for the poor guys to even get stationary for their official work? doesnt sound like he wanted to print something at home..? Well, just sayin' its possible?
