I refused to pay a bribe.
I applied for passport on 30/09/2015. The Police came for passport verification to my house and told that generally people pay Rs.500 for passport verification. I told him i'll see him in the station. He referred me to a Sub inspector named Ramesh. I went in to the station with all my proofs. He first asked for my College id i told him ill give it in two days.Then when i submitted it he asked for bonafide certificate stating that my previous one is out dated. While i was leaving he told me to get him a A4 sheet bundle. Then i went and submitted my bonafide certificate and left without giving the A4 sheet bundle.I never paid a single rupee. I got a clearance certificate and my passport is being printed.
We need to stop bribing.Once we start giving they will keep asking for more and more.
