2 Wheeler Number Plate missing

I was driving my 2 wheeler and did not realize that my front number plate is missing. One officious looking guy stopped me and just asked for my driving license. I did not think much and handed over. and then he told me to produce all the documents etc otherwise he will take me to Thana and then I will be in trouble. I was in hurry and wanted to avoid trouble.
He started asking for Rs 500, finally I gave him Rs 200 and went on my way. I felt guilty and could not do otherwise. Did not have time to do the process and thats what this guy took advantage of. Of course he did not give me any receipt.
