I was forced to pay a bribe of Rs. 600 just to forward my Passport Application as 'Processing Fee' and then Rs. 700 again after a few days for Verification and approval as "processing fee" shamelessly demanded by the police constable in-charge of the passport formalities. My passport was made under the 'tatkal' scheme and therefore the policeman said the processing fee is double but we are charging you 'less'.
