I was send an electricity bill 5 times that of my regular consumption, an amount around 12000. The staff was always non co-operative and told to come later. I was determined not to pay bribe and kept visiting them day after day till they got frustrated and asked me to produce 'n' number of documents, so that I would give up and pay the bribe. In the process they asked for some sealing certificate of the meter, which my friend went to take and paid a bribe of 200 for a document which should have been handed to us when the meter was replaced. I was disappointed at that and carried on till I got the bill corrected, finally without paying any other bribe. But still they generate faulty bills regularly and I have to waste my time to get them corrected, probably because they were not able to get the bribe and their ego was hurt...!!!
