I was driving a car when the Traffic Policewoman stopped me and I was talking on cell phone while I was driving. She asked me to come out of the car and told that the fine was Rs1200 for talking on cell while driving. I contested her that it is not and I am ready to pay Rs600 fine with the "Ticket". Long story short I gave her Rs600 and she gave me back Rs200 and she said "I won't give you Ticket and you can go". The same moment it hit me that I just paid a bribe to her. I know I did wrong but it was the easy way out, even unwillingly I paid a bribe which I should not have done and should have asked for the Receipt for Rs400. To improve the process first thing is I as an individual should be strong enough to make the commitment of not doing this in future. I don't know how it will help by posting the story online but it's worth shot to improve the process in any way possible
