Misuse of law by police to blackmail people and extort money.

I began renovating my house in West Delhi. Police officers started visiting daily, harassing me and my family. In order to stop the harassment and let me work on my house in peace, they demanded a bribe of INR 15000 and then a few days later another policeman demanded another INR 5000. It is a rampant cycle formed by the local policemen. In the name of patrolling, these policemen extort money from anyone conducting renovations in my colony and other colonies in the neighboring area.
