Paid bribe for petty police verification of self

For purhcasing a new two wheeler, it was expected to provide a police veriifcation of my current address from the police department for which me and my landlord made to wait for a hour and filling lots of forms and at the end paid Rs 100 as bribe. I regret paying him but who fights the police wala.
