Paid Traffic Police Rs 200 To Escape Higher Fine

I jumped a yellow signal, and a Traffic Police (don't know his name as he was purposely not wearing his badge) caught me. He gave me two options:
1. Pay Rs 400 and get a receipt
2. Pay Rs 200 without a receipt
Obviously, since I was in a hurry and didn't want to waste time, I paid Rs 200, just to get it over with. He happily accepted with a shameless smile and went away.
