The police officer in Gotri police station took Rs 150 for passport verification even though I had all the documents required. He was also charging it from everyone who came in for passport verification saying that if they don't pay there might be some issue in the verification. There was no mention of his name anywhere in the office and he didn't even gave his name. He also mentioned that he charges everyone for passport verification whether have the documents or not.
If anyone is actually interested in catching him, they can simply turn up with a passport verification applicant and catch him red-handed.
