Fine for parking in a No Parking Zone is Rs. 100/- and towing charges are Rs. 200/- in case of a 4 wheeler. Not sure about 2 wheeler, but guess it is Rs. 100/- or Rs. 50/-. I have been in circumstances when I had to pay this fine and everytime I received two receipts for Rs. 100 + Rs. 200. All payments were made directly to the Traffic Officer and no Chai Pani was demanded. This is in Mumbai and Thane.
The dates could be wrong.
I own a Maruti Swift. I misplaced/ lost the RC book. I approached the RTO office in KR Puram. I was very impressed and amazed to note that throughout the process, not once was I approached by any tout, nor was there any demand for any favours/bribe. I got the RC book in a total span of 30-45 days by speed post. Thank you RTO KR Puram.
Mr. Bhalekar, powai police station, a police man did my police verification for passport without asking for money. Kudos Bhalekar.
He called me in December on my phone to come for verification. I was travelling that time, hence told him that i would meet him in first week of January.
When i went there with my wife (since both of us had applied for renewal of passport) he handled us with professional care. He verified details without wasting any time.
At the end he thanked us for coming for verification. (We were sweetly surprised at the soberness).
He did not hint for any thing, did not take anything...

The police officer, Mr Magre of Govandi police station, who visited my house to verify my passport application details was very straightforward.
He requested us to come to the police station at 11.oo am the next day, since the register had to be signed.
When we went there at 11.00 am he was waiting for us.
He was very polite, courteous and professional. He completed the formalities in quick time and we thanked him for his help.
He said that the verification would be sent the next day to the CID office and it was done so.
He was more professional than well trained hospitality officers in 5 star hotels !!
A very pleasing experience for myself and my wife.
during election time,One superintendent of police Tr.Santhosh kumar he was worked at nagapattinam dist.that SP purchased some electronic equipments like speed dome camera, still cameras, handy cameras etc through election fond in a nominal price.nobody given in a single rupee for commission.

My Father had retired from UP Irrigation Dept and was drawing his pension from Chief Treasury Officer Ghaziabad. We lost him in Dec 2012 after short illness. We are residing in Bangalore and my mother came to stay with us after my Father's demise. We were not sure how easy or difficult it will be to get her Family Pension payment initiated.
However, we met the Chief Treasury officer on 21 Apr 2013 and the Family Pension along with arrears was credited to her account by the time we reached back on 01 May 2013.
Total time spent in getting the Family Pension processed was 6-8 Hrs (This includes the delay caused at the Syndicate Bank (where Pension Account is held) rather then the Treasury Office).
May God Bless all the Staff at Chief Treasury Office, Ghaziabad for their professionalism, sympathetic approach and dedication to their Duty.
I was called by the local police station to meet the officer for my passport verification. I told that I would return from office and meet him in the evening. Accordingly, I met Mr. Mishra at Sonari police station at about 8.30 p.m. He gave me a seat and bring all the forms by himself (my earlier experience that is to get a almost illegible form to be xeroxed from outside). Mr. Mishra filled the form and asked relevant questions, checked the documents and completed the formalities saying your report will be despatched on the next day morning.. It took less than five minutes!!! I thanked him and get outside of the police station. All verifications were completed within three working days and I got the passport within seven days of application.
This is unimaginable and if this is sustained I believe people will not apply for Tatkal passport!!!
I went to Police station for my Tenant verification.
I submitted all required documents, filled up forms and my job got done without any delay and bribe.
The officer verified documents, stamped a copy of verification.
He did his job honestly, on time and not asked for any bribe.
We had a house in Srirampuram with 11 tenants residing on it The building was very old and very badly maintained as the rent paid by the tenants was very low and almost all of them had lived there for more than 15 years. In August 2011 a 11 foot compound wall and a block of 4 toilets came crashing down due to heavy rains. The tenants continued to occupy the place inspite of that as they were paying Rs800- 1200 for 2 and 3 bedroom houses ad chose to use toilets in another part of the building. The BBMP gave me a certificate asking me to pull the building down or bear the responsibility of any loss to life. I approached the local police station to file a complaint as I know that if I go to the court it would be years. The SI Mr Nagraj helped me greatly much beyond his authority he spoke to the tenants and gave them deadlines to vacate. I also noticed that he did this for everyone who approached for help without any expectations. It was very interesting to watch how the other officials in the station hated him as they missed their chance to harass and squeeze a bribe out. I met him a few weeks ago as part of the Traffic police, and I was surprised to find that its considered to be a demotion to be transferred to thetraffic department. I'm writing this because I want to know for one thing that if it is a fact that moving to traffic is demotion and also want to acknowledge and appreciate such officers who go out of their way to help. I also want to mention here that I'm a single woman with 3 children and mo male support. So for me to seek help from the police itself was a big thing. I actually don't mind revealing my identity if it will help in anyway
