I am a permanent resident of Indore. I recently got married and my wife's permanent residence is in Banswara (Rajasthan). Since, we wanted to do destination wedding, we choose Udaipur (Rajasthan) as an ideal place to get married.

My Question is from where can I get my Marraige Certificate. I tried to apply in Indore Municipal corporation, but they said since marraige happened in Udaipur you go to Udaipur. And When I contacted Udaipur Municipal Corporation, they said you should reister from your permament residence i.e. Indore, as all your documents have Indore address.

I am facing quite a dilemma. Kindly let me know regarding the laws. Can I asked Indore Municipal Corporation to issue me my marraige certificate??
