Bribe for importing led tv from dubai to india

In the diwali week I went with my family to dubai on holidays. I brought with me a Sony LED 46 inch tv and landed on mumbai airport. I show so many people with tvs of various models and sizes. The customs officials at the mumbai international airport enforced a standard bribe of Rs.4000 for 3d smart tvs above 40 inches and Rs. 3500 for smart tvs without 3d. I was ready to pay full customs duty but I was advised by the customs officials that they will take Rs. 3500 in cash and Rs.3966 will have to be paid as customs duty for my model i.e. a total cost to me is Rs.7466 whereas the actual customs duty as per the calculation given by the customs officials was Rs.8800. When I refused to do so the customs officials said that they cannot have different valuations for the tvs and cannot charge different customs duty as it will be a problem in audit. Further they also asked other passengers to pursue to pay the bribe. I had landed at 2:30 a.m. on November 17 2012 and at 5:00 a.m. I gave up and paid Rs.3500 as bribe and Rs.3966 as customs duty. I dont know where to complain but am writing this as am strictly against paying bribes. ********** ****** ******* ****************@****************
