Customs officer asked for bribe to relase imported goods

I work in Sigapore, I bought LED TV in Singapore.
While moving back to India I brought it with me.
Customs officers objected that and asked me to pay duty of 9000 RS...after explaining that I had been using TV in Singapore..and I was working there etc etc..
They asked me to pay 2000 or face problems..
I just paid 2000 and got away as I was traveling with familiy and it was too late in night..nobody was in mood to understand my problem..
